With the way things are changing so fast I dont know how and where they can do it. It will obviously be without fans as long as they can find a safe venue. but at this point it's spreading all around the world at a rapid rate.

“We were training in the AKA without any information regarding the fight, where and how is it going to happen,” Nurmagomedov said (courtesy of RT Sport). “Then the UFC told us that the fight 100% isn’t happening in the States. And they said that 99% that it will happen in Emirates, Abu Dhabi.

”After talking to the UFC we decided to fly over to the Emirates a month before the fight. I don’t remember the exact date, it was 19th or 20th, I’ll have to check. But when we landed in Emirates we learned that they are going to close borders. And no one will be able to leave or fly in, with exception for residents. So we had to fly back to Russia.

“Currently I am in Dagestan and I am training and preparing every day. Although I don’t know what am I preparing for. Because after we came to Russia we also learned that the borders are going to be locked. Same like in the States, same like in Europe, Emirates, everywhere. The whole world is in quarantine right now.”

Yeah because like you say, this hasn't peaked yet, we are still seeing the number of positive tests rise daily. I think if Dana gets his way the event will happen in some shape or form....the problem will be logistics, meaning, can fighters get to the location, will anyone allow the event to happen in their districts.

Khabib taking a lot of heat on line for this. Khabib says he was told the event was going to take place in Dubai so he left his camp to go to Dubai a month early to finish his camp there. When he arrived in Dubai he was told they were closing their borders in 2 days and all flights were going to be grounded, so Khabib obviously left Dubai and went to Russia.

So, with Khabib looking like he is 100% out, the rumors of Justin Gaethje filling in started running rampant. Gaethje rarely takes short notice fights and has apparently told Dana he couldn't be ready. So now, it seems the main event will be Tony vs. Alexander Hernandez

Dana says the fights will take place on a "private island" somewhere and won't disclose the location. The fighters apparently will all gather in the same location and be flown to the island....he said even the fighters won't know where they are going.........half kidding here but it seems like they are going to Jeffery Epstein's island

I'm not sure how this will effect rankings, possible punishment and repercussions down the road but according to the ABC:

“The Association of Boxing Commission and Combative Sports (ABC) Board of Directors are very concern with an event being on tribal land without the regulation by a tribal/state athletic commission,” the statement said. “The ABC concurs with the Association of Ringside Physicians that it’s a very trying time for the entire world. Fighter safety is paramount. If the fight occurs, it will be considered a non-sanctioned event since a state/tribal commission will not be present. All officials that decide to participate in the event, they may be sanctioned on a tribal/state level.

I had a feeling the card would fall thru. I would have watched the shit out of that card, but with what's going on throughout the world, there's no real way that this card would happen. Can't wait til this bullshit is over. I understand that this is something that needs to be paid attention to, but there's definitely something other than this virus that is happening, may sound a lil crazy but that's what I think.

Definitely a crazy time right now, many theories flying around regarding the virus, some that seem to have some credence behind it.

I would have watched for sure, the day after but there were some great fights for sure that were supposed to happen

Saw his interview, pretty interesting. In a month, fight island will be built. Soon as he gets the okay, he can start doing events straight off the bat. He's talking about making sure the fighters get their fights on contract etc no matter what. So I'm wondering if he's telling the fighters to prepare for their opponents, then boom soon as he gets the okay it's the following week this all starts.

So excuse my ignorance because I didn't watch the video but....is he talking about a REAL island or a metaphoric island in the middle of nowhere in the desert someplace? And will this island be a one off for fights or just until this corona shit is over, or will it be semi-permanent?

Short term this would be great if it happened...otherwise guys careers will be on hold for ever. Assuming Covid testing will be done to all party's involved no reason it cant be done. I would think the cards would be stacked and with no crowds the UFC would want to , to get some big audiences and ppv numbers.
