I saw yesterday that Cain Velasquez was charged with attempted murder. Not many details out yet

So I read the dude had molested Cain's niece or something like that in some manner so Cain went after him and ended up shooting the dude's stepfather

Hopefully he gets a sympathetic jury. I don't see the attempted murder charge sticking, maybe pleading down to careless use of a firearm??

Hopefully, He's getting a lot of support for obvious reasons, But I doubt he will get off too easy as "taking the law" into his hands is frowned upon too by judges.

Listened to Rogan's podcast with Bisping, they said it was actually Cain's daughter that was molested

uggh, cant blame him, just wished he had used his bare hands...now his life is ruined because of that loser.
And WTF is Putin doing? Hitler v2, he's gone off his rails, only way to stop him would be a bullet between the eyes.

Yeah the Ukraine situation is a mess. I was just talking yesterday comparing this to the start of WWII when Hitler invaded Poland. Putin is a lunatic, even China and N. Korea are keeping their distance from the madman

Re: CONVERSATIONS of any and all topics
For sure, not sure what he really thinks is going to happen in Ukraine. They arnt just going to hand over country even if they manage to take most of it over, it will be Stalingrad ten fold....they will slowly get bled to death should they try to occupy. And now Russia has Isolated themselves from most of the world isnt going to help.

Good question, he's like a raccoon backed into a corner and he's all in at this point, He's going to pull a Stalingrad except in a bigger setting and he will be on losing side this time....just a matter of time.

Re: CONVERSATIONS of any and all topics
Looks like some peace talks are underway. Hopefully that gives Putin an excuse to stand down.
Some MMA stuff: this past weekend fights.....Looks like the HW division has a new serious contender....Tom Aspinall looked very good.
Dana says ANOTHER HW interim title fight will be happening, looking like Stipe vs. Jones

Re: CONVERSATIONS of any and all topics
I really have no faith in the peace talks...What exactly does Putin do? just say oops and pull out? he cant he's all in at this point...not going to end well.
Aspinall looked great for sure, no one has starched Volkov like that. And might as well do an interim fight as Ngannou will be out a while not to mention might not be back at all.

Re: CONVERSATIONS of any and all topics
Listening to a podcast yesterday they seemed to suggest that if Ukraine agrees to demilitarize, which they think might be as simple as agreeing to never join NATO or allow a NATO military presence, that might be enough for Putin to end the war.....another suggested the same except that Ukraine would need to agree to Russia annexing a small portion of the country. I'm not sure as to what part that actually is though.
The Curtis Blaydes fight this weekend might just determine what is next for Aspinall. Assuming Jones/Stipe fight for interim title and then assuming NgAnnou comes back and fight the winner, there won't be a title defence again until DEC. 2022 at the earliest, likely not until early '23.....so that might set up a good timeline for winner of a potential Blaydes/Aspinall fight to get that title fight

Re: CONVERSATIONS of any and all topics
Putin backed himself into a corner now as his invasion isnt going even close to plan. I doubt Ukraine would give an inch of land at this point as that would reward Putin for the terror that it has caused Ukraine with so many cities completely destroyed it will be many years if they will be or ever rebuilt. not to mention War crimes that Nato has said Russia has commited as well. I still think Putin will go scorched earth on his way out...
kinda funny everyone already assuming Blaydes will win which he should, he's got 15+ pounds and is a good wrestler, We havnt seen much of Daukas ground game but after seeing his brother you would have to assume its up to par, however keeping Blaydes from TD's and pinning down is a tall task, Would love to see Daukas pull it off though.
We shouldnt forget about Gane, Everyone down on him after his loss to Frank but he still is at the top of the food chain also...

How about Michael Chandler and that KO of Ferguson??? KOTY for sure, I can't imagine a better one happening.
I guess Charles Oliveira is for real, the guy keeps getting dropped in all his fights but he always seems to get up and go onto win

The Chandler ko was terrific for sure , starting to feel sorry the TF now...now sure where he goes from here.
Charles isnt just beating top guys he finishes them, If he beats Islam I wouldnt mind Kabib coming out of retirement and give him a go.
And how about the Rose fight? can barely be called a fight.

Pat Berry needs to never be in Rose's corner again, what an idiot. My money will be on Islam, but I also put money on Poirier and Gaethje, so I know nothing

Yeah it was a hell of a fight, I think moving forward for a while the LHW title will be passed around a bit.
Valentina didn't look great and was VERY lucky to walk away with her title

I was looking forward to that fight as well......Rockhold came into it in horrible shape and for as bad as I thought he looked, Costa didn't look a whole lot better, which, really, makes Costa look really bad.
But what about Edwards eh? Pulling that kick out of his ass to KO Usman

Ya high altitude Luke forgot his cardio, too bad it could have been a better fight. And Leon with that great kick opens up the WW division for sure, But after Kazmat missed weight by 100 lbs not sure WW is in the picture for him anymore.

Re: CONVERSATIONS of any and all topics
I've been MIA for long ass time now.
Had a son (Born December 21st last year) so I've just been doing dad things. Been extremely busy last few years. Hope you both good.
I still keep up to date with UFC, just not as much as I used to. Hard to watch so many mediocre cards.

Haha, no kidding. going to be interesting to see where francis ends up. Seems he keeps pricing himself out, must have over played his hand , Not sure if any of those boxing matches are going to take place especially if he thinks he's getting massive money.

Re: CONVERSATIONS of any and all topics
Yeah and Dana said Francis will not be back, the UFC are done with him.
BKFC says no to his demands and you're right, it doesn't appear as if the money boxing matches are going to materialize. Kinda looks like he listened to some bad advice

Re: CONVERSATIONS of any and all topics
Well PFL it is. Seems like a crazy signing and not sure how PFL thinks they will get a good return on this investment. Even guarantees whoever he fights 2million i believe. He only did 300k ppv's when he fought Stipe in the UFC what will he get in lesser known PFL and who in the heck is he going to fight to get any type of draw?
He's not fighting at all in 2023 and still gets's to box in this contract should he manage to secure a fight.

Yeah on the surface it certainly looks like the PFL are going to lose big time on this. I've read rumors that PFL is buying Bellator so I guess that opens up possible Bader, Kongo, Overeem or even Fedor fights....none of which I find overly intriguing

Frank did better then almost everyone thought and actually increased his value. Not sure how his PFL contract is written but he should prob go straight to boxing for some good py days. Not sure who he will even fight for PFL in mma.

Frank's gamble paid off and now has a fight set up with Joshua. Likely wont ever fight mma again.
UFC 300 should be interesting when the final lineup is done.
