UFC officially announces that 249 will take place on May 9 at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Fla. No fans allowed. Main event is still Ferguson vs Gaethje for the interim 155 title.

Not sure I like the Cruz-Cejudo fight Cruz hasnt won a fight in 4 years and is coming off a loss. CC has been a super diva since winning the double champ thing. First he was calling out Aldo coming off his loss and now gets this fight.

Its the oldest trick in the book i guess fighters lloking to fight guys with names who are past their primes for "money" fights.

Yeah I think Cruz gets starched here......I'd love to see him win but just don't think he has a chance......and it's SUPER fucking lame Dana has set up this fight and allowing more the circus to grow.

I'm still not convinced we see this card on May 9 but I feel more strongly about it happening than I did the last one.

Card is amazing. Events for May 9th, 13th and 16th is the rumour. Obviously 9th is confirmed as of right now. Going to be strange to watched. Should the event happen? Absolutely not, but it's going to be one helluva card.

Interesting for sure, hopefully it turns out because If Dana can put some cards on he may get big tv viewership numbers considering no other sports events are happening now.

I'm so excited for this event, depressing times as of right now. I had my furlough pay, it was 200 less than normal pay. Which is not bad at all considering the circumstances. Got £200 left on the credit card (From buying gaming PC over Xmas, took longer to pay off than expected due to other unforseen expenses) so money wise, not depressed at all or down about that during the rough times. But my God im missing some violence.

Not expecting the fighters to look their best or even good if im honest. During the pandemic, how much prep work can you do for a fight? I'm willing to bet there's a few missed weights or fighters get tired before they normally do during fights.

Not sure I ever seen that before but he literally controlled almost all 5 mins on the ground every round and not just smothering, he was always going for subs and almost had a few but Rosa did a great job of defending.
