Recommend some fights
Alright fellas, so obviously with everything going on, we're either out of work or working from home with plenty of time to pass. So let's recommend some fights for each other to crack through, I imagine most if not all of us have fight pass, if not there's other methods that can be shared through PMs.
Liddell vs Tito 1 - https://ufcfightpass.com/video/28856
Liddell vs Tito 2 - https://ufcfightpass.com/video/28822
I love both of these fights. Tells a great story, they started off as friends and training partners. Chuck was going up through the ranks, with Dana's support and Dana pushing him. Going over to PRIDE to fight in tournament, his stock was high and deserved. Chuck and Tito sparred frequently and Tito had to stop some training sessions because he couldn't handle shots to the body from Chuck. When time came for Chuck to get title shot, Tito beat around the bush. Tito says it was for more money, Chuck says it was because Tito was scared to fight him. Great feud and some great fights. I'm not going to post the third fight... well.. it's embarassing for both fighters.

Re: Recommend some fights
No fight pass for this cat.
I've always love the Chuck/Wanderlei fight.....another great story that ended where it was eventually supposed to, inside a cage (or ring). At the time of the start of the rivalry it was UFC's greatest 205 fighter who had tremendous highlight reel KO's...his detractors would always criticize Liddell's opponents as being "just wrestlers" and no stand up threat to him.
On the other side it was Pride's own killer 205 champion, a scary looking mofo with tribal head tats and a highlite reel KO list of his own. Wandy's detractors would say he was in an organization that openly pushed steroids and that he was also set up in a few "squash matches" and the whispers of fight fixing (later to be proven true but I don't believe it involved any of the BIG name guys, including Wanderlei)
This fight happened way too late as both guys were well out of their prime, however it did not disappoint, and to me, is one of the top 3 fights in UFC history

Re: Recommend some fights
Yea,that was a great fight but politics kept it from happening when it should have.
Loved the chuck-Tito fights and the way they ended
My favorite fight was GSP-Hughes 2 and 3. At that time GSP was still just getting started beat the former champ like he had never been in a fight before.

As a Hughes fan (at the time) I didn't like those fights. Hughes/Trigg II was a great fight for as long as it lasted

Re: Recommend some fights
Just read Silva said he was ready to retire before the first Weidman fight....Weidman's manager called him out on what a bitch move thing to say that was....so I watched that fight again just to see Silva get KO'd again.

Re: Recommend some fights
Been re-watching old UFC and PRIDE events, the Shamrock vs Tito trilogy, my God that was a one sided beatdown throughout. So obviously fake also, their post fight immediate comments were all about business and money. Entertaining mind.

The first fight was a complete beatdown....Kudos to Ken for hanging around as long as he did in that fight

Yea Ken was there for the pay check at that point. As a former Fedor fan almost any fight he has been in has been entertaining and would re watch again.

Re: Recommend some fights
That was one of the biggest upsets of all time when that happened, Fedor was a bit over confident and didnt realise how good Werdum was as he has fought Nog multiple times who was thought to be one of the best HW BJJ guys on the planet.

Re: Recommend some fights
I legit called Werdum beating Fedor via triangle in first round back in the day. Got flamed badly for that prediction too from what I remember, was 10 years ago so I was some dumb kid making a bold prediction. Now look at me! Some dumb adult making dumb predictions

Re: Recommend some fights
Yeah big time upset at that time. If I remember correctly Fedor knocked him down and then jumped into Werdum's guard to administer some GnP, almost got caught in the triangle, escaped and then got caught again and finished
