Fedor vs Rampage
Fedor did look very sharp being at 43, Rampage of course came off the couch out of shape but still has power. Fedor was pushing most of the action while rampage was basically covering looking to counter.
Fedor then lands a straight right which rocked Rampage sending him into a face plant, which had Rampage stunned for a while....good win for Fedor who still has a bit left in the tank, and prob will continue fighting other aging fighters such as himself...which isnt a bad idea.

Just watched it....damn Rampage looked HORRIBLE....physically he was a fat out of shape blob but he also looked terrible in terms of fighting. I think he only landed 1 punch on Fedor and it was a lazy jab.

Agreed, there is a place for these veterans as long as it's proper matchmaking.jax wrote:Thats to be seen, I dont mind the older guys fighting older guys as long as they arnt miss matches. He always has been an entertaining to watch.

Re: Fedor vs Rampage
Rampage has been phoning it in for years now. The dude never trains, and takes fights at HW because he cannot be arsed making any weight. It's embarrassing, he talks about how much he loves Japan and stuff like that, but turns up massively overweight and quits as soon as he gets hit hard. Fedor looked good, but he still does if matched up like this.

He wants a pay check plain and simple, but I think he was embarrassed by this especially mma media being all over his weight and even he suggested he needed to loose it.....prob should have thought about that before having a big fight like this.

Re: Fedor vs Rampage
Anyone watch any of the other fights? Chandler crushed his can, MVP crushed his can, Larkin beat his can a little slower but easily on points. Decent event for viewing, but Bellator get away with some truly shocking matchmaking.
I caught some of the Rizin NYE show too, CB Dolloway got damn near killed by Jiri Prochazka, but the really impressive performance was Patrick Mix, that dude looks like a legit talent. Would not surprise me to see him fight for gold in Bellator this year.

Saw a funny tweet the other day.....Dude said he bought a pair of MMA gloves and instead of a receipt he got a contract to fight MVPBluenoseGreig wrote:Anyone watch any of the other fights? That's funny! But it's a little strange MVP is always made fun of for it, lots of the roster in Bellator get favourable match ups. MVP has fought Daley and Lima in the last year.

It was true, we shit on Dana for many good reasons but generally Dana doesnt do the "boxing" rout of having guys fight cans until title shot time, Coker is basically trying to keep his "contenders" that he wants to win stay on track for next match.

Agreed, Bellator seem to often ensure fighters win till they are in a title fight or eliminator. The UFC has their problems, but on the whole this shit never happens.
